Otsego Township uses Republic Services as our recycling service provider.  We use a 96 gallon roll away cart and collections are one Friday each month based on your location.  If you would like to recycle, you must sign up by calling Rosemary Graham at (269) 673-5415.

PLEASE NOTE:  THERE IS AN ERROR ON THE CALENDAR WE WERE GIVEN, IN FEBRUARY THE FIRST COLLECTION WILL BE THE SECOND FRIDAY (FEBRUARY 14) NOT FEBRUARY 7TH AS SHOWN.  IN AUGUST THE FIRST COLLECTION WILL BE THE SECOND FRIDAY (AUGUST 14) NOT AUGUST 7TH AS SHOWN.  WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY CONFUSION THIS MAY CAUSE. 

Household Hazardous Waste

Call the Allegan County Health Department, 269-673-5415, if you have household hazardous waste, like: household batteries, oil-based paints, cleaners, expired or unwanted medications, pesticides, solvents, compact fluorescent lights, automotive and other chemicals.  Bring us you mercury thermometers for an exchange!  Appointments for drop off are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during regular business hours.  Call 269-673-5415 for your appointment.

Used Motor Oil

Call Little Pines Service, 131 East Allegan Street, Otsego 269-692-3233,  or Auto Zone, 1380 M-89, Otsego, 269-692-2868 to check their hours for dropping off used motor oil.  Don't mix other wastes with oil.

Large shipping cartons, foamed polystyrene (no packing peanuts), appliances and tires can be taken to the monitored depot sites at either Allied Waste Services, 3310 M-40, Hamilton or Salem Township Transfer Station, near Burnips, 1/4 mile south of 142nd Ave on the 1st or 3rd Saturdays, March through December. You must present your Resource Recovery card which is available from the Township office.  Please call 269-694-9434 if you are interested.
